About me

I graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Novosibirsk State University, Russia in 1997. I was awarded the degree of Master of Science in Mathematics.

2000 – 2025: researcher at the Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS. Ph.D. in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Mathematics. I develop software packages in Fortran that have made it possible to optimize the growth of crystals from melts.

2020 – 2025: researcher in Russia’s flagship scientific SKIF project (generation 4+ synchrotron). I am engaged in numerical 3D modeling using the Ansys Fluent + CAD software package, creating a software package in the Fortran language, which has made it possible to improve the design of diamond thermal filters of the SKIF synchrotron.

Since 2010, I have been developing and maintaining my own photo blog loveopium.ru on Wordpress. 1.2 million unique visitors in November 2023, according to Cloudflare CDN service.

Recently, I pivoted my career from Research scientist to Frontend Development due to my passion for web development and problem-solving abilities. I have more than 2 years of web development experience.

Weather forecast application for cities with a population of over a million + your current geolocation. The app receive data via API in real-time. JavaScript, CSS and HTML5.

Use your keyboard or mobile touchscreen to control the snake's movement. Snake’s speed control (+/-). Scores are stored in a browser. JavaScript, CSS and HTML5.

E-commerce

Garden plants and trees online store (app without backend). Plant’s descriptions and prices are stored in JSON file. Cross-page shopping cart support. JavaScript, CSS and HTML5.

Exchange rates with charts

The app automatically converts currencies. An interactive chart for yearly rates. Fetch API. One version of app with OOP and another without OOP. JavaScript, CSS and HTML5.

This Portfolio website with responsive design and responsive images. Mobile-first development approach. SVG sprites and Lazy loading used. JavaScript, CSS and HTML5.

Hobby

Since 2010, in my free time I have been engaged in a personal photo blog on Wordpress loveopium.ru. I am engaged in posting content, editing the site template, its design and other things, except setting up a Linux server.

Bike and photography. I edit pictures in Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop. These applications work perfect when creating a website design layout as well. During 1.5 years I assembled a custom electric bicycle from spare parts from various European and Asian stores.
